So I Married A Lumberjack

9/30/2012

That's the hubby.
Showing that Log Splitter who's boss.
Those pieces of wood are GINORMOUS! (Don't spell check that)
He is so comfortable in the outdoors, manhandling his chainsaw and axe, he knows just where to put the oil and the gas. He is THE boss when it comes to wood cutting.

And me.......

I'm just there to look good.
Ha!
Actually this is my: I'm.tired.hot.and.sweaty.but.glad.to.be.out.here.with.my.hubby.doing.honest.work.face.

And this is our Old Yeller.
I can barely climb into this truck. And sometimes it doesn't start without a little coaxing (thankfully it's not our only transportation!), the speedometer doesn't work and there is no a/c or radio.
But, it if a work horse. Hauling trailers, wood, boats, etc.
Never under estimate the power or an old farm truck my friends.

Watching the hubby use this axe was humbling. I can barely pick it up!
I was going to share an action shot of my stud muffing using it, but I forgot.
I'm just so thankful for a hubby who knows his way around the country life and for taking me out of my comfort zone and introducing me to new things.

If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would helping my husband cut wood and loading it into the truck, covered in saw dust and sweat- I would have laughed in your face!
But here I am!
Thank you God!:)

Oh, and one more picture.

That my dear friends is a TARANTULA!
I want you to open your hand and look at your palm. Now cover up half or your palm. That's how big it's body was!!!!!!!!!!
Ewwwww!!!! Ewwwwww!

Sorry this picture is sort of hard to see but I was staying safely in the vehicle at a good distance.
I mean what if it jumped at me?? Or turned around to get me??

Yuck Yuck Yuck!
It's Fall Ya'll- and the tarantulas are OUT!
Thankfully my hubby says they are not aggressive or poisonous.
Whatever.

We are heading on a 2 day fishing trip with the hubby's grandparents.
Stay in a cabin by the lake! Can't wait!
Have a great day!

I've Got Links!

9/27/2012

Hey there! Good Morning!
How is your week so far?
It's nearly the weekend and I can't wait!:)
Mostly because I always love the weekends, but this weekend the hubby comes home (today in fact!) and he doesn't have to say goodbye on Monday!
Read Here if you missed the last post.
And for all of you that did comment on the last post with such sweet words, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Really!:)

So on to the links.

My pen pal Kara over at Sunrise Sunset Blog wrote a great post about Bible Verses and since we're on the subject, I need to share Leslie's post about Learning God's Word.
Both of these girls stopped the excuses and dove into the Bible. Go girls!
I'm right behind you!

This isn't a link but yesterday the lovely Meg Duerksen shared a pic on Instagram about Ephesians Chapter 5 from the Message. Go read it. Right now. It's ok, I'll wait.
At some point, you should probably read ALL of Ephesians from the Message. I'm not being bossy, promise.
Good stuff!

And then you should go visit my gal Mary @ Finding Healthy Hope and check out her adorable home school class room! I love it!

And you should definitely go check out this FREE printable from Megan over @ Contented Sparrow, click here to download.

Isn't that beautiful!?
She is so talented!

And if you are interested in Free desktop downloads, this blog is featuring some REALLY cute ones:)

So cute right?

I hope your day is awesome!

Great News @ The Jeter House

9/25/2012

Hey everyone!
I have some Great, Big, Awesome news............
No, I'm not pregnant. (Sadly)
BUT- I do want to share with you that this Thursday, my hubby is coming home.
I know, you're thinking "ummmmmm, he comes home every Thursday?"
Of course you are right!
But this Thursday will be better than most Thursdays because he is coming home FOR GOOD!

This awesome, goofy, makes me laugh everyday, hard working, talented guy will be home with me from now on.
In case you are just tuning in, the hubby has worked for the State of Arkansas as a surveyor for the highway department. This kept him on the road during the week, staying in hotels, eating out for every meal, driving hours and hours and missing us terribly!
This schedule is all we have ever known. It didn't make it any easier, just tolerable.
In case you haven't experienced it, being home alone during the week is for the birds. It's not for me anyways.
He and I have been praying long and hard  and really listening to God's direction on this matter.
And finally the time came for him to put in his two weeks notice.

We are taking a HUGE leap of faith here.

He will have work to do, maybe not a lot at first, but we have some savings and are believing in God to provide.
Let's be honest here, at times, if I let myself, it scares me to death that he is leaving this regular great paying job with awesome benefits and health insurance.
But when I come to my senses and know that God hasn't left us hanging EVER, I know that we will be just fine.
There will probably be a lot of oatmeal, beans and rice in our future (hopefully not all in the same meal- eww).
But to have my best friend home with me every night, really living life together will be the JAM!
Because really, we don't know what that's like.
And so now he can share some of the household chores with me like cleaning the dust bunnies from the ceiling fan because he's taller and also getting the hair out of the bath tub drain
( because it makes me gag!).
Ps. He really does do chores with me, already. :)
Ahh, the joys of marriage:)

I really, really, REALLY can't tell you how excited I am that he will be coming home to me.
And if you think about us, will you pray?
Pray that we continue to pursue a life on fire for God.
Pray that we will have patience with each other when life gets tough.
Pray that we will make the right decisions about our future.

And this has really been weighing on my mind, but pray that we will be blessed with children someday. Whether thru adoption or biologically.

I really just want to thank you all for reading my blog and commenting, it means so much to me!

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4:19

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

Matthew 6:31-32

Sometimes A Girl Just Wants To Blog

9/24/2012

Hello there!!
It's Monday!!
I've had coffee, and sent my hubby off to work for the week, and am still in my pj's, sipping on more coffee, with a curled up beagle who is lightly snoring next to me,and I'm  blogging away. (And wasting time on Pinterest.)

Have I told you that we don't have a Starbucks within 100 miles or so? Yeah, I thought I had.
It leaves us making up our own little latte/mocha concoctions. And lately I've been in to making home made whip cream, so our coffee has been tasting REAL yummy! Add a dash of cinnamon and I'm feeling pretty good. Starbucks who?
However, a new little coffee/lunch shop opened in town this past month. It's in a house, where people live. At first I thought, hmmmmmmmmmm...............
But then Saturday morning while doing some errands the hubby surprised me and took me in for coffee and home made scones. They were heavenly delicious! Word has it the owner makes her own breads, roast her own meats and she even peels almonds for Horchata! Say what now?! Yeah, that was my response too! Haha!

But we are trying to be happily frugal these days and so making most of our coffee at home and such will remain the norm. And we're totally good with that.

We had some friends over this weekend for a bonfire and chilli. They brought their 3 kids who are tons of fun and we roasted smores too. It was a blast.
The next night the hubby and I sat out by the bonfire for a little bit and just enjoyed the cooler weather and sipped on decaf. ( Sometimes we are 100 years old.)

Saturday afternoon we went to my niece's birthday party. She turned 3! Such a fun age. I could spend all day in the little girl section of clothing. Can you say ADORABLE?

We had a great Sunday at church, with a pastor who constantly encourages us to walk in Jesus' shoes. Or maybe sandals would be more appropriate. Even when we don't feel like we want to go to church, when we get our butts up and go, we never regret it. But oh how easily the devil can settle in and make staying on the couch with coffee and a movie more appealing than getting into our Sunday Best and worshiping in the House of God.

A few months ago when I bought hubby a new recliner, my thoughts were to move the owl chair into the office. Well I shoved and huffed and puffed all the way down the hallway with it only to find it wouldn't fit thru the door.
Well fast forward to this past weekend and I told hubby I was really hoping HE could try and get the chair into the office, he casually brings it down the hall, unscrews the legs and places it into the office. Voila!
Ummmm, why didn't I think of that?  Go Team Jeter! (Yeah, we're dorks!)
So now the owl chair sits in the office where it was meant to be and Charlie thinks it the perfect place to take a little snooze when he's comes in there.

I started following @proverbsdaily on Instagram.
They have some really great verses on there.

This one especially hit me after I've been reading Irresistible Revolution.
You can read my post about that here.

I thought it very interesting that so many people read that post, but NOBODY commented.
Not sure what that means, but I do want to say that I'm not intending for this blog to be a preachy blog or the type of blog that makes you feel bad for what you are or are not doing.
Just me sharing my heart and opinions one day at a time.

So on that note, have a great day!:)

Uncomfortable

9/20/2012

Oh hey there Thursday!
I'm so glad you are here!
The hubby will be home soon and I get wait to spend the weekend with him.

I was thinking the other day how lucky we are to live in the United States. Actually words like spoiled and ungrateful came to mind first because we totally take our situation for granted. Anything we want to do is at our fingertips.

Most of you reading have nice warm homes on cold nights, or nice cool homes on warm days, you clearly have access to the World Wide of Webs- probably on your phone/laptop/desktop/other techy device, more clothes than you need in your closet and I bet you have a fridge full of food too?
 Yeah, me too.

I picked up a book earlier this week and almost wished I hadn't.

It's called The Irresistible Revolution: living as an ordinary radical . And you must pick this up, and read it.
Like, really.

Strangely enough, it was ME who opened up my wallet back in June while we were in Illinois and bought this book for my hubby. We were at Willow Creek Community Church, a church I used to attend when I lived in IL.
Don't let the title confuse you, this community church? It sits on 150 acres and has over 20,000 members. It also houses the largest Food Pantry in the Cook County area- which says a lot because the city of Chicago- somewhere around population 3 million give or take, is in Cook County.
The author, Shane Claiborne was there that Sunday, speaking about his community and a new book they had written. And when I say community in reference to him, well he lives in a home with other people. And they live among homeless people and serve them. They choose to do this.
Live in the same home.
Share money, and cars and meals. Can you wrap your head around that?
Because I can't.

So back to my purchase. I bought it for the hubby, who probably read it a month later. And as he would talk to me about what he was reading, I didn't really absorb it. I couldn't quite get the feel of what this Shane Claiborne was really in to. Spending time with Mother Teresa, interning at Willow Creek, living in a christian hippy commune, serving the least, the last and the lost?
Ummm, ok.

So here it is the middle of September, and last night- last night folks, I open my cabinet full of mugs and pick from about 10 different flavors of tea ( you know, depending on my mood) and I pick up this book and start reading.

I.could.not.stop.reading.

Do you ever find a read like that?
Where it's so, so good you have to keep reading?!
Except this book felt like God himself was reading it to me.
Not really, but kind of.
Stay with me here.
This regular guy from East Tennessee  has seen and done so much on his own, he has helped so many people, he has dove into the Bible and felt what God is/was really telling all of us.

God tells us over and over in the Bible that true discipleship will cost us everything. Everything! Our biological families, possessions, even our lives.

Let me tell you, I started feeling really uncomfortable. Sitting in my house, on my comfy couch, with my Netflix Fireplace in the background, sipping my tea- I knew God was telling me something.
I just didn't know what yet.

Shane talks about a teacher he had in college who says "Jesus never says to the poor, Come find the church, but he says to those of us in the church, Go into the world and find the poor, hungry, homeless, imprisoned, the Jesus' in his disguises."

I started getting goose bumps.
And here came that uncomfortable feeling again.

God tells us again and again give up everything we own and give to the poor.

And what am I doing? Ummm, not much.
Sure I tithe and donate money to a few good causes.
And oh yeah, we donate our clothes we no longer wear/fit into to the Salvation Army.
So that should count right?
Maybe.

Shane also brings this to light to another matter- When we gave up our sins and invited Jesus into our hearts, the old us died. At least it should have. We now have Jesus living inside of you and me, walking the earth. And because of this we should be able to do greater things because the love that lived in the radical Christ now lives within millions of ordinary radicals all over the planet.

Whoa.

What would really happen if we ALL lived as if WE no longer lived, but only Jesus lived in us???!!!

Ok, now I'm really uncomfortable.

I don't know about you- well ok, yes I do. We don't like being told we are doing wrong do we? It gets me in a bad mood, real quick. Just ask my hubby.
So when I'm reading a book that is telling me I'm not doing enough, and that my old self should have died when I invited Jesus into my heart- I had to pause for a little bit and let all that soak into this dried up sponge.

They didn't teach me this in Sunday School, and if they did, I more than likely thought I was too cool to hear it.
But here I am approaching 31, and I have mostly lived a stale Christianity.
Ok, so I've come to terms with that and talked to God about it.
But now what?
Are me and the hubs and Charlie going to pack up and move to the slums of India like Mother Teresa and become friends with the lepers?
Oh man, this is getting tough.

Some of you will probably read this and think huh? What happened to her? She's gone off the deep end.
My mother is probably thinking OMG- she's already bought a one way ticket to India.
No mom, not  yet anyway.

The even sadder part to me is that I should have been digesting this while reading the Bible, but it took a fellow Christian to write a book and throw it in my face.
 And believe me, I'm thankful.

We are the body of Christ, the hands and feet of Jesus to the world.
It's time for us to stop living among our stuff and get real.
And that's going to look different for all of us. I can't say what you should do, I only know what the Bible is telling me to do and if we're reading the same Bible, well then you can figure that out.

I think this post is a little out there for me. But you know, I like it. I don't usually want to get on a soap box or throw anything in your face- but how could I read this book and not share it?

Our life here on earth is temporary, but if you have asked Jesus into your heart and have taken the free gift the savior has given, then we will spend eternity in heaven.
I pray that this post has reached who it needed. At the very least, read the book.
Or when I'm done, you can borrow mine:)

If you've already read this book, tell me what you thought?
Are you turned upside down not too?

Map Fever

9/18/2012

Hey Tuesday!
How are you?
How's the week so far?

The weather has been so beautiful around these parts. Cool mornings, only slightly warm days.
I'm hoping to turn off the A/C for the final time in the next week or so.
We've had such a HOT and DRY summer that the weather guys are predicting a super cold winter.
And I say Bring It On! And snow too please. I love it!

So I have something to tell you.............
I really want a roll down map.
I see them on blogs, on Etsy, in magazines- and now I want one too.
Like this one from Etsy .

But here's the thing, it's $50. And I just really can't justify spending that kind of money on a cool map that is going to hang above my couch.

And remember when my lovely friend Mary from Finding Healthy Hope did a guest post of her map project?

Totally rad!
Someday, my map will come. And it will be cheap. Because that's what it will have to be right now if it's going to be.

But really, like really, really- I don't need a map.
It's just a thing that will hang on my wall and only provide temporary satisfaction or enjoyment. Don't get me wrong, that time frame might be 20 years. But it's not everlasting.
I'm trying to find joy and satisfaction in God these days. Looking to him for anything and everything.
Do I want my home to be comfortable and welcoming to all who enter mi casa- absolutely!
But more importantly I want them to feel God's presence there.

I'm following along with the gals doing #SheReadsTruth and the current study is on Galatians. And a lot of Galatians is about glorifying God, not man.

There have been times when I was concerned about how my blog looked or the type of pictures I took- but deep down, I just want everything I do and say to reflect God's Love.

Are any of you following along with #SheReadsTruth ?

On a lighter note, I've been cleaning up and fixing up my little home office/craft room.
It needed it so bad, it's pitiful!

It became a laundry dumping ground. And anything that didn't have an immediate place in the house, ended up in there to deal with later. Except I bet you know what happens to later right?
It never comes. And then the stuff just sits there and gets ignored and then it's a monster in there.

And then there's the stash of vintage linens and fabric.
It's way out of hand.
Girlfriend either needs to get crafty or get rid of it!
Oy!

So there's my messy mess.
Isn't it something?

Good news is- I've been working on clearing and decluttering.
And I'm going to post pics of the little office/craft room real soon!:) It's already become such a refreshing space to come and read my Bible, check emails, blog, waste time on Pinterest, etc.

There's even a spot for my little sleepy Beagle to snooze in the sun and still be with his mama.

Happy Day to you all!

Hello Monday

9/17/2012

Good Morning, Good Morning!
I'm so ready for this week to start. Not because of any reason other than it feels like it's going to be a GREAT week.
There is something exciting I need to share with you......but not yet.
And no, I'm not pregnant (unfortunately).
But still pretty exciting! :)

I'm currently sitting on my comfy couch with the cutest Beagle munching on left over pizza. (Just slightly warmed up because I still like the leftover, cold pizza taste. Yum!)

I've been surfing around, catching up on my favorite blogs this morning and just feeling so thankful for everything!
For never going hungry, there is always food in our fridge and pantry.

For being able to enjoy Sonic Happy Hour with the hubby!
Two Strawberry Limeades please! :)

For this sweet little Beagle that seriously steals my heart everyday!
I keep wondering- if we love this Beagle like crazy, imagine how we'll feel about our kids!
Look out!

Thankful for a mama that took me to the Beth Moore Live Simulcast this past Saturday. It was our third year. Is Beth Moore not wonderful? Did any of you go?

And also for this SUPER ADORABLE lamp my mom got me when our other one started fading out.

What I am most thankful for is a hubby who spends time reading and following God's word.
He has stood up so much recently and is really becoming the true man God has intended him to be.
I love his kind heart and willingness to follow God's plan for us.
{ He's also a total stud muffin!}

And because I love him so dearly, I made the first pumpkin pie of the season for him that past weekend. He loves this pie so much! I don't think it lasted 24 hours!
Ever since I've started making homemade crust, I really feel like a rock star. For real!

I  was so excited to get my hands on these fall magazines! Just look at the beautiful covers!
Dear Country Living, You had me at hello!

I also made about 3 dozen jars of Jeter's Jams over the weekend for an upcoming Fall Festival.
Strawberry, Blackberry and Peach- Oh My!

So how was your weekend?

I'm linking up with the lovely Lisa Leonard today.

Romance Uncensored Part 3 and Some Random Good Stuff

9/14/2012

Glory Hallelujah, it's Friday! Woooooo!
I could not be happier. I love the weekends. Like really love them.
It might have something to do with the fact that my awesome, amazing hubby is home with me on the weekends. Yeah, that's probably it:)
Anywho, this weekend is going to be great because I'm going to the Beth Moore live simulcast. I look forward to this every September.
Ever heard Beth Moore speak before? [ Please say yes!]

She is inspiring, her words and material are creative and she flat out rocks.
Google her, You Tube her, Facebook her- do whatever it takes to become familiar with her.
And clearly, she is in love with dogs.
{Not all are hers by the way.}

We're also having some friends over for dinner at some point and I'm going to crock pot it up. Either chili or a traditional Sunday Baptist Roast. You know, rump roast, potatoes, carrots- all in the same pot?
This was something we had more Sunday's than not growing up. And my mouth waters for that dish still to this day. My grandma made a mean pot roast in her day, let me tell you.
I think I'm going to mash my potatoes this go around, include a green bean casserole and the last of the corn on the cob. There might even be an apple pie thrown in-with homemade crust! Oh yeah!:)Makes me want to shout God Bless America!
I'm talking way too much about food and getting patriotic for no good reason and so we must move on to the next topic.
I know you are dying to hear more about the Romance Uncensored subject.
If you are just tuning in, you can find the last two posts here and here.
I have just a few more things to share.

The pastor brought up the importance of pleasing your spouse in many different areas.
But one of the ways has really stuck with me and that was our appearance.
We dress up for work, get pretty for a coffee date with friends, pull out our best Sunday clothes for church- but how do we get ready and dress for our spouse?
I'm totally guilty of dressing comfy around the house. Yoga pants (which have never seen yoga by the way), hair pulled back, no make up and just a general laid back-ness.
Why do we do this?
We didn't do that while we were dating.
In fact if I remember correctly, my hair was always done, my clothes were always put together, I even painted my nails and threw on some lip gloss.
What happened?

Date your mate. Keep things fresh and alive.
I don't know about the guys, but for us girls a new shirt or blush or manicure can liven things up real quick.
And maybe there are some of you out there feeling like this talk doesn't apply to you?
I'm not saying you have to be someone you're not, or that you have to put on make up and dress nicely for your husband to love you.
He already loves you. But it's important to keep him in love with you.
Are you hearing me?
Your spouse is the most important earthly person you have a relationship with. Make them a priority.
Be your best you for him and most importantly for Him.

On a totally different page, some people see their marriage as something less than great. And some may see the marriage bed as something of fear or regret or hurt.
There are situations out there that are tearing apart marriages and it's going to take some time to work it out. Thru prayer and time, healing will come.
But just know that you are both worth it.
Saying I do until death do us part is no joke in the eyes of God. He takes that very seriously and so should you.
There are also marriages out there where one spouse is living for God and the other isn't.
The Bible tells us:
" Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives."
1 Peter 1-2
"In other words, your natural instinct is to nag and coerce you husband into church or doing the right thing, to try and manipulate him towards God. It won't work ladies. Only God can change your husband heart, your words are more likely to hurt than help. Rather than trying to persuade your hubby, choose to live your life loving God which in turn will spill over to your husband and be shown thru love and respect for him. Your actions will communicate louder than your words ever could."
[ Abbreviated commentary from the True Identity Women's Bible- page 1731}

God brought you two together. And it takes work to maintain. How much more important are our marriages than the mundane things we spend countless hours on everyday?
Your spouse is worth it.
And so are you. :)

I think that's all I have to share from our AWESOME experience at Romance Uncensored.
If there is any leftover info, I will be sure to share.

And now for something totally random but I must share.

Chicken Enchiladas.
We love you!
Found this recipe over at the Red Barn Candle Company. You can find here it is Declicious x 100!
Happy Friday ya'll!

Romance Uncensored Part 2

9/13/2012

I was super tempted to write something real eye catching for my Post Title today, like something, dare I say "naughty"? So that everyone would click on my blog link and read what God has to say about living out a Red Hot Marriage.
But I clearly chickened out and it's just us.

So let's get started ok?
On Monday I wrote about our awesome God filled weekend with our church's marriage retreat that was held in Branson, MO.
{I'm pasting the link, but apparently my laptop hasn't had enough coffee yet so you will have to paste the link into your own browser- sorry.}
http://faithfulcitymouse.blogspot.com/2012/09/hello-monday-part-1-of-romance.html

Most of these are just notes that I jotted down while our pastor was talking and not everything is verbatim.

He talked about the importance of having sex with your spouse.
Keep in mind this was a MARRIAGE retreat. Not a I-live-with-my-boyfriend-girlfriend-retreat.
So even though saying SEX on my blog makes me a little "whoa", I'm trying to be a big girl and remember that God created Sex. {See, I said it again!}
And because it's of God, it's wonderful.
In fact they came up with one of those annomalies or accronyms (somebody correct me, I'm too lazy to google)
It goes like this:
SEX
Supernatural- God
Enjoyment- Having oneness with your spouse and therefore God.
X not X-rated, it's God created.

{I'm feeling better already! }

Other important factors are:
Reading the Bible together.
Praying together.
Talking together.

Noticing a trend yet?

When you invest in your marriage and your spouse you are creating the ticket for others to see God thru your marriage and therefore a way to the gospel.
Your friends are watching.
Your family is watching.
And you can bet your kids are watching.
How many of us act and talk and respond the way our parents did?
See what I mean?

It says in the Bible that there are only two times a man and woman should separate intimately.
When they are fasting, or when they are in times of prayer.
Don't deny each other the satisfaction or being together, even if you don't want to.
When you tell your spouse no/I have a headache/I don't feel like it/the dog just barfed/hit me up in the morning, it wounds their spirit.
And pretty soon all those no's turn into urges of self satisfaction or into the arms of another person.
It happens, we see it everywhere.

How do you make sure this doesn't happen?
Decide NOT to slide.
Keep reading God's word e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y.
Live by passionate convictions.
If you are intimate with God, you will be intimate with your spouse.

The pastor also talked about things Men and Women should do.

For the Men:
1. Pastor your home. He said this possibly more than anything else.
Lead and guide your wife and children. Pray with them, read God's word with them. Let them know they are safe and protected under your guiding hands and decisions.
Something like 80% of children will continue to go to church and live God fearing lives if they see both parents going to church. But if you take out the father, there is only a 20% chance.
2. Prioritize Christ in everything you do.
3. Date your mate. Treat your wife with value and let her know how much you appreciate her.
Criticizing or talking down to her will leave lasting impressions. 8 positives do not cover up 2 negatives. She still remembers 10 years ago when you told her she looks fat in those jeans. (Ouch!)
4.Keep God center.
5. Dare each other to try new stuff. Spice up date night, join a book club, take a cooking class, rent scooters and cruise around town, take a picnic to the lake, etc. And remember, a fun date night doesn't have to be expensive.

Now,
For the Women:
1. Create a welcome home environment for your hubby. Let him know that you appreciate all he does to support the family.
2.Remember your role. You are a help meet. And keep in mind, it's easier to be the helper than it is the leader.
3.Respond to your hubby in a loving supportive way. Be his cheerleader, he needs that from you!
4.Respect him. Period.
5. Wives, submit to your husbands. Even if you don't feel like it. Even if you think his idea is whack, go along with it.

Long, long ago, when we were all wee littles, our mothers/teachers told us to treat others like we would want to be treated.
Are you doing that for your spouse?

Now this part is for parents.
Our pastor was mentioning that kids = sex killer.
They will cause serious barriers.
Don't let them sleep with you, they have their own bed!
Put your kids to bed when YOU are ready. Not them.
And tell your teenagers that if they aren't in bed by 9pm, they are going to see some FUNKY STUFF!
{ The conference room erupted in laughter when he said this. I'm still laughing!]
